We start to propose this excursion last
year and it becomes interesting almost soon.
We organized 22 excursions in the summer
2009 (we can organize it only with very good weather and
calm sea) and we always saw Cetaceans (a lot of dolphins
always in the same area who swim, jump close the boat
enjoying everybody. 12 times we saw 18 meters long whales..
at least 35 whales... sometimes 5 all together!!!!
On board of the boat Orso-Cat (Australian
catamaran just
built for this kind of excursion) you will live the
fantastic experience to watch wonderful cetaceans in their
natural world. the sea!
The first and unique excursion of this
type in Sardinia, born after continuous signalings of
sighting Cetacean that daily the fishermen effected during
the big tuna game fishing, in a big area of 6/7 miles and 20
miles far away from the coast.
In this area knowed as
"cetaceans triangle" it's possible to met them thanks to the
particular buttom and current of Tyrrhenian Sea, bringing to
the surface a lot of Planton the principal food of the big
cetacean as the whales.
There it's possible to watch
Balenottera Comune, Capodoglio , Zifio,Globicefalo, Grampo,
Tursiape, Delfino, Stenella Striata, and with luck it could
be possible to watch Turtle, Mobule (Mante del
Mediterraneo), Moon Fish, Tuna, Pesci Spada e Sharks

9,00 a.m. - Return planned at around
13.30 p.m.
From the base to reach the Triangle of
the Cetacean we will employ less than one hour of navigation,25
knots of speed, reached the area of the sightings we will
reduce the engine power to 5 knots and we will wait the spectacular meetings,
scrutinizing the surface of the sea armed with the
binoculars of the boat and holding ready the equipments
photo video to immortalize these magic meetings.
At around H. 11.30 we we will stop to
"swim in the blue sea" (not compulsory) and to have a
Sardinien aperitif with typical products.
On board the captain and an environmental/diving guide
will give you all the informations required
After about 2 hours and half looking for
the cetaceans we will
return to the base

Participation fees include: passage on board, use of the
binoculars and the informative material on the cetaceans,
open bar.
N.B. If we will not wacth any kind of
cetaceans there will be a refund of 60% of the amount payed
